The Bach Flower Remedies are a self help system that was created by Dr. Edward Bach in England in the 1930’s. Dr. Bach was a physician, initially working as a pathologist and bacteriologist, but he felt limited in orthodox medicine. He eventually turned to homeopathy to treat people. Shortly after and over a period of several years he created the Bach Flower Remedies. His belief was that our emotions and states of mind are directly connected to our overall health and wellbeing.
“Treat the person not the disease, treat the cause not the affect,” is the motto of the Bach Flower Therapy system.
For example: If two people have arthritis, each may need a different remedy to help them find balance. There isn’t a remedy that’s good for arthritis. It’s based on how they each feel about the arthritis they are experiencing. They specifically focus on the emotional condition of the person concerned. Our emotions play an important part in our health and wellbeing and this is how the system has helped people worldwide for almost 90 years.
The 38 Bach Flower Remedies
There are 38 Bach Flower Remedies made from wild plants, trees and bushes, each helping with a specific challenging emotion or state of mind. The remedies are taken orally, consistently throughout the day using a dropper bottle. They work on a vibrational level and help to break an energetic pattern. They help to shift negative or challenging emotions and states of mind into a more positive, hopeful and optimistic outlook on life, helping one cope in a healthy way and come up with creative solutions to life’s many challenges and circumstances.
The 7 Emotional Groups:
There are 7 emotional groups by Dr. Bach.

Below, check out my 8 minute YouTube video: What Are Bach Flower Remedies?
I explain what they are, how to choose them and how to use them. For example, you can take a single remedy or make your own mixture.
As I’ve mentioned, the Bach flower Remedies were created as a self help system, but you can also have a Bach Flower Therapy session with a Bach Flower Registered Practitioner.
The Bach Flower Remedies are gentle, non toxic and non addictive. They’re safe for adults, children, babies, animals and plants. There are no contraindications so they are ok to take with medications and are easy to use. Dr. Bach felt that people should take their health into their own hands, so he created this simple, self help system using the remedies, so anyone can access and use them with ease.
“There is no true healing unless there is a change in outlook, peace of mind and inner happiness.”
